Spring Valley’s Rio

”Rio” (gelding) born January 14, 2020
Dam: unknown
Sire: unknown

Rio and his brother, Atlas, are kind of a different story. We bought Rio and Atlas from a dire situation as weanlings. They came from a papered Paint stallion but due to a nasty divorce, the papers were lost and the colts did not receive any information by which they could be registered. The dams were also apparently papered but again, no information could be given regarding their lineage so the boys are grade. Rio and Atlas were both feral and malnourished when they came to us but quickly came around and have been absorbed into our 2020 foal crop as Spring Valley babies. While they were not bred by us, we consider them our babies because we’ve had our hands on them since they were just a few months old. I would consider Rio to be more responsive to pressure than Atlas, more alert and aware, but not spooky or standoffish by any means. He will respond to pressure with little effort and is a loving, quiet dude with a great brain.
