CREATING EXCELLENCE

Our aim is to create healthy, strong, young horses with great brains

and an upbringing that sets them and their riders up for success.

  • Warmbloods

Herdsires: Five Star Pearl’s Forte (2021-)

    Spring Valley’s Royal (2019-2020)

Our first two years, we crossed our breeding stock mares (Thoroughbreds, Paints, Appaloosas, Quarter Horses, Draft-x, etc.) with our Friesian stallion, Royal. These babies are exceedingly intelligent and will be started lightly undersaddle as 2-1/2 year olds with more consistent riding time planned for the summer of 2023, when they are 3yo. They have been handled extensively and are big puppy dogs. They are fancy, flashy movers and very good “thinkers” also.

In 2021, we bred our mares to a Clydesdale stallion, Five Star Pearl’s Forte. This big man did not disappoint: the 2022 foal crop came out round and shapey, with tons of chrome and hair. Royal as an exceptional stallion but Diesel (the Clyde) has thrown a more desirable foal in shape for the kind of person we are trying to create a mount for.

  • Pony of Americas

Herdsire: KS’s Red White and Nifty

Big isn’t everyone’s cup of tea! We have our Draft crosses but for those who don’t want to be so high up off the ground, we started creating medium-size ponies with the idea in mind that they would be as wide as they are tall (kidding but you get the concept), with flat knees and a Barbie-doll face. Our herdsire, Nifty, has really delivered! His foals have consistently been exactly what we were looking to create in shape, mind, and color. He is homozygous for the Leopard Appaloosa and PATN1 gene, meaning he cannot throw a solid pattern on any of his foals, no matter what the dam looks like. If his foals are born solid, they will develop spots as they age.

Color isn’t everything: read more about Nifty’s lineage and the accomplished bloodlines he carries with him.

  • Miniature Horses

    Herdsire: Tara Stables Ferrari Thunder

The “small” in our small-medium-large trifecta is our decades-long-established Miniature Horse breeding program. Ferrari, our Miniature Horse stallion, is a Pintaloosa from foundation bloodlines. His foals are proportionate, colorful, and intelligent. Our main goal in creating these Miniatures is to develop healthy, small horses for those whose homesteads and lifestyles do not accommodate the larger style equines. These little horses come back to us for training every year and they are the easiest, most talented little horses we’ve ever had the pleasure of handling. Year after year, we look forward to Ferrari’s foals and thoroughly enjoy the development of these wonderful family pets, service animals, and show horses.

  • Mammoth Mules

    Herdsire: Spring Valley’s Blackjack

The newest feather in our cap is MULES! These hardy, fantastic creatures have become a vital element in the operation of our farm. We have acquired a Mammoth Jack, Blackjack, with the goal in mind to cross him with gaited mares to produce smooth, correct, colorful mules and raise them in our program. Stay tuned as this program develops and progresses: we will share news as soon as we have it!
